Kelly said his relationship with Haughton was just a friendship and nothing sexual ever happened between them, sources told TMZ.
Lisa Van Allen claimed that the entertainer told her that when Aaliyah would fell asleep Kelly went in the living room to perform sexual acts on the couch with Aaliyah’s mother. She made the accusation in a recent interview with VladTV.
For more than two decades, Kelly has been trailed by allegations of sexual misconduct. Nearly two months after the docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” aired, Kelly surrendered to Chicago police on Feb. 22. He was hit with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and faces three to seven years in prison for each count. At least three of his alleged victims were younger than 17 at the time of the abuse.

On August 31, 1994, R. Kelly, 27, married R&B singer Aaliyah, who was only 15 years old, in Chicago. Just a few months before, on May 24, 1994, Aaliyah’s debut album Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number was released, which Kelly wrote and produced. On the wedding certificate, her age was listed as 18, but the marriage was annulled in February of 1995. Later that year, VIBE famously published the wedding certificate, even though both Aaliyah and R. Kelly denied the marriage.
In May 1997, Aaliyah admits in court documents that she lied about her age to marry Kelly. She filed suit in Cook County to have all records of the marriage expunged because she was not of age under state law to get married without her parents’ consent. Reportedly, Aaliayh and R, Kelly never spoke again. Tragically, Aaliyah passed away at 22 years old in a plane crash in August of 2001.
On March 10, attorney Gloria Allred said that her client discovered a videotape that appears to show Kelly sexually abusing underage girls. That was the third such tape turned over to investigators in the past month.
Before Kelly’s arrest, attorney Michael Avenatti announced in February that he has new damning video evidence that he gave to prosecutors in Cook County, Illinois, where Kelly calls home in Chicago. The high-profile lawyer said in a statement that he was hired last April in connection to multiple allegations of Kelly sexually assaulting minors. He claimed to have a 45-minute VHS tape as evidence, which, despite its similarities, was not the same video got Kelly indicted in 2002 — and acquitted in 2008 — for child porn.
